Hola! I am the founder of MM Knitwear Studio, and my vision is to create sustainable, high-quality knits. I aim to collaborate with inspiring, creative brands that share my vision for sustainability.

My journey began in Puerto Rico, where I nurtured an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age. I started selling my own jewelry when I was only seven years old. This passion for creation eventually led me to New York City, where I discovered my love for knitwear. With knitwear, I found the creative freedom to design both the fabric and silhouette of a garment.

After graduation, I worked with both small and large designers such as Proenza Schouler, Tory Burch, and Kate Spade. However, I soon realized that we were producing massive quantities and paying manufacturers less every year. It just wasn't adding up.

My realization of the unsustainable practices in the fashion industry prompted me to return to FIT and pursue a Sustainable Business certificate. The knowledge I gained about material sourcing, design innovation, and sustainable production inspired me to take action. In 2020, I founded MM Knitwear Studio, dedicated to serving slow fashion brands and start-ups.

With a decade of experience collaborating with knitters, mills, and artisans worldwide, I bring a unique and comprehensive viewpoint to the industry. As the founder of MM Knitwear Studio, my vision is to create sustainable, high-quality knits. I aspire to partner with inspiring and creative brands that share my commitment to sustainability.
